Notes on the metrics: WALL_CLOCK_S is elapsed span, not working time — it includes the ~2 min the run waited on the human at the AskUserQuestion prompt. Cache-read (725K) dwarfing TOKENS_IN (30) is normal for a long single-run skill — nearly all input was cached prose. TOOL_ERRORS=0 reflects the transcript's is_error flags only; one command printed an acli error into stdout (masked from the exit code by | head) — see Incidents.

Divergences in detail

No diverged or skipped rows. Every instruction that applied was followed; the only two not-reached rows are the multistep-only branches on a single-step run. The one item worth writing up is a prose gap, not a divergence — recorded below because the good outcome here depended on agent judgment the skill doesn't guarantee.

Duplicate-issue detection is not in the prose (agent caught JST-118 by luck)

  • What the prose says: §6 opens with "you are always creating a brand-new top-level issue," and the "Re-run / partial-failure safety — deferred" note only contemplates this run's orphans, not a pre-existing issue covering the same feature. Nothing in §3 (Investigate) or §6 tells the assigner to scan open issues / existing remote branches for overlap before minting a fresh key.
  • What happened: The agent noticed feature/JST-118-github-pat-auth in the git fetch output (46034c4a), got curious, viewed JST-118, diffed its branch, and discovered it already implements this feature with the opposite (deliberately-chosen) auth mechanism. It then surfaced the conflict via AskUserQuestion (93ca54dd) rather than silently filing a competing issue.
  • Consequence: Positive on this run — the user made an informed choice and the tradeoff is now durable in JST-126's description. But it was incidental discovery: had that branch not shown in the fetch delta, or a less curious run occurred, the assigner would have filed a silent duplicate/competitor, exactly what §6's own "deferred" note flags as an unhandled gap.
  • Likely why: The skill has no cheap overlap check, and the fetch-delta visibility was accidental.
  • Suggested fix (prose, small): Add one line to §3 or the top of §6 — e.g. "Before minting a key, skim open issues and existing feature/* branches for one already covering this request; if found, surface it and ask before filing a competitor." Nothing novel was reinvented this run. The only candidate the transcript suggests is a duplicate-overlap check (see Divergences) — that's a new capability, not something the agent hand-rolled here.

Verdict

Textbook-compliant run: every applicable instruction was followed in order, the single-step path was chosen and executed correctly, and the run finished through step 8 with issue, branch, worktree, both comments, and the report all in place — zero divergences, zero true tool errors. The one finding to act on is a skill-text gap, not a run defect: the assigner has no duplicate/overlap detection, and only agent curiosity (spotting JST-118 in a git fetch delta) prevented a silently-filed competing issue — add a lightweight "scan for an existing issue/branch covering this before minting a key" nudge to §3/§6 so the next run doesn't depend on luck. This run points at the skill text needing the fix, not the agent.
